Quotes

Cultivate fear of love, love of God and morality in society.

Love, respect, tolerance, mutual co-operation must flow from the heart of each to all.

Only one who serves is fit to become a leader.

Do not waste time in idle gossip; talk softly; talk as little as possible; talk sweet; serve all as brothers and sisters.

Pursue noble ends; have grander ideals.

Consider all your work as worship; Duty is God.

Be good, be useful, be kind, be God fearing.

Do not fritter away the time.

The person devoted to God knows no failure.

Mankind is one community.

Many thanks for bringing out 'Young Poet' in an elegant manner. It had covered many aspects of life. My hearty congratulations to you for bringing 'Young Poet' online. Thank you so much. It is a good idea to bring out senior poets page, and definitely students will get more idea from senior poets.

Poets Akshay, Arun mozhi had written on 'flood', 'Tsunami' when students know the problems they will definitely tackle the situation carefully in the future. Even CBSE curriculum is laying stress on Disaster management. Usually students do not know the value of money they know hot how they come and where they go. Here Bhavanaa from Kottayam has brought out a poem where she says the ways that money is spent 'Oh! No all my money has been spent.' Chandini's poem Friendship is so powerful. It has followed rhyme scheme. Daniel's India is a good attempt. New poets like Hariharan Shruthi, Sowmiya, Vivekanand are trying to bring out poems. Though mastery can't be achieved in the first attempt, it is the teachers and editors duty to appreciate, motivate encourage and inspire the students. If not we, then who?

Dhanya's Thinking is excellent. She foresees Earth after a number of years affected by meteorite and also by III world war. The poem 'Road' is quite similar like the poem of Robert Frost's Road not taken' it makes the readers to choose the right road which means to take a right decision. The poems of Gargi Saha,

S. Lakshmi. Nirmal Raja gives aesthetic sense to the readers. They are quite standard and matured. Nallan has brought out wonderful poem 'women'.

Nivedhitha's 'A child's Dream' is a dream, which everyone should have. Where dreams will one day turn to reality. Priya Subramanian 'Ode to spring break' gives the true picture of a student.s feeling. Qhudsia Wajid and Sinduja Anand's poems are very rhythmical. Sagana poems are getting featured often. Improvement is seen in her poem 'garden visit'.

I profusely thank you for August, 2007 issue of Young Poet. I am immensely pleased to see that you have very graciously included my humble views and a poem 'Of Silence'.

In the vast firmament of existing good number of literary journals and the emerging ones Young Poet has so soon found a place in the hearts of young and elderly readers. For this grand success credit goes to your concerted efforts to make the journal fascinating with variety of poems. My hearty congratulations to you for this.

I ardently hope that the mission you have started to promote the poetry genre through this attractive journal will keep on progressing day in and day out.

I am enclosing two poems of mine for your kind perusal and their possible inclusion in the forthcoming issue of Young Poet. I hope you will find them interesting for your worthy readers and suitable to your editorial requirements.

With regards and best wishes.

Vanakkam. Received the issue (August 2007) of Young Poet. Many thanks for the same. But I have a humble suggestion to make i.e. please don't publish senior poets in young poet as they have number of journals to find space for their contributions. Please stick to the rule-book & publish only younger budding poets for whom "Young Poet" has been launched. To be more specific, I just request you "not" to publish my poems under the page of senior poets and instead you could give room to budding writer of prescribed age-groups. Hope you'll take my points in the right spirit.

'Young Poet' is meant for younger poets. Please don't publish any senior poets in the future. The title of journal indicates "Younger Writers" but not for seniors.

Thanks for 'Young Poet' August 2007 number. It is indeed a new millennium gift to the young poets. You are a trend-setter in editing a poetry magazine, exclusively to the young who are the hope for the future. The young poets, unlike the gereatries, are fired with imaginatioin. As Vivekananda said "you are fortunate if you serve God's children. Do it as worship".

Thanks a lot for the latest young poet (Aug. 2007). I am very much delighted to read each and every poem - a gem by itself of the budding youth.

My blessings are to the young poets of your club and a hymn

"For a slice of juggernaut,
We sacrifice ourselves,
O Lord, your par excellence
Being a benediction
Like the greatest patron saint,
As misucans muffled up
Baffle the speedy winds"

With high regards

I do not know how to express my gratitude to the Young Poets' Club. It has been seven long years since I was awarded first place in the Poetry competition in Chennai. I came across this web-site while searching on google and was delighted to see my name listed on it. Thanks to the appreciation by the club, now I am specializing in copywriting and advertising visualization and am placed in an established advertising agency as a creative intern.

For a ill' spark that day, fired the zest that propelled me this way.

Thank you so much,

I am not a regular reader of YOUNG POET.But I read some of the poems which are very very thought provoking and meaningful. The way the collection of poems made by the Editor Shri NVSubbaraman is really a commendable activity. Editor himself will be writing a number of poems which are really meaningful and convey a message to the people and society at large.

The simplicity in conveying his ideas and messages is worth mentioning. The way he praises the nature make the reader to start thinking about NATURE and he also gets the inspiration to love the nature.

Now, I am seriously thinking of studying the material contained in the Young Poet rather reading it.My sincere appreciation to all the people connected with the activity of bringing the valuable magazine.

Today only I saw the website. I can not find words to appreciate the efforts made by the designer in bringing out the web site very attractive.I hope and trust the efforts of the people concern will not go a waste and in the days to come more and more readers are going to be attracted. IT IS A NOBLE TASK TAKEN BY THE EDITOR

I wish all the best to all concerned and wish to get copies of Young Poet every quarter.

YOUNGSTERS RESPOND

I received the book Young Poet' from the library I was so thrilled to go through all the poems. Earlier I used to just see the contents and page and only read a few poems but now I read all the poems word by word more than thrice. When the book was over I felt sad. Bhavana's poem 'Oh! No! All my money has been spent' is excellent. M. Chaandini's poem friendship is full of rhyming words. It is interesting to read such poems. J. Daniel Jey Janeson Says about his country in a proud and rhythmic manner. Gaargi Saha's poem 'Road' is also very interesting. Hariharan's poem 'water' even if it is small, it expresses the necessity of water. S.K. Shruthi and M. Vivekanand said how nice they liked titanic. I am eagerly waiting to see the next issue. Once again I thank you for making us all enter on the online.

Life has never been constant. There are many changes happening, either fast or slow. And this is what we call human life. But when these changes are felt and described, poetry buds out.

Someone who has sunk in this wide ocean of poetry needs nothing more than a pen and a paper. And when poetry is written for awareness, it works for the rapid improvement of the world and this is what I have tried this time.

Now I would like to conclude with a simple request, that you would publish my poem in your highly regarded journal 'Young Poet.
