Poems in this Issue

A leaf falls to the ground,
There's darkness all around,
Nobody emits a sound,
Then, a cat mews with eyes round,
And squirrels scuttle across the ground.

The yard is heavy with tension,
A knife could slice the air,
Tears fall silently all around,
Yet everyone refuses to even mention,
The girl whose blood pools on the ground.

Alive or dead, nobody knows
Time slows, yet the moment goes,
Slowly they turn around,
Turn their backs on the girl,
Whose blood pools on the ground.
