Poems in November 2007 issue

The cars, trains, ships, aeroplanes
Infinitesimal, intricate, illuminating
The teddies, parrots, barbies, carrots
Soft, cute, lovely beings
Tubewels, mixers, cooking sets, jokers
Ingenius, innocent antics
Everything alike like the grown ups world
Another make belief domain
There exists another world
In the children's microcosm
Fairytales, dreams, dramas
Want to pigeonhole soon like the elders
Yet remain a tiny tot
In thought, words and actions
They try to emulate everything
They encounter in daily life and imagine multitudes
of realities and far fetched ideas
of wisdom and foolishness
of pleasure and pain
of happiness and sorrow
of borrowing and donating
In every different sphere of life.

- Gargi Saha Kolkatta, (West Bengal).
